Sketching in situ

News

Every project starts as a sketch, it’s always the first step from the imagination to the future reality.

With a minimum of explanation, a sketch is able to capture and communicate the essence of one proposed idea.

In all their forms and appearances, elaborate or rather minimal, they are our communicative tool par excellence and the guideline for the landscape project to come. Often a reiterative process, abstract studies are composed into draft proposals and once more refined into a balanced project. In the process, the right proportions slowly crystallise, fields of tension are appearing, and balance is found.

At once elementary and refined, drawing by hand stays the most direct way to shape and steer our projects. And when the initial idea is laid out, the hand sketch remains the most accurate tool to steer our projects forward, in the office or directly on the site.
