This garden was created on the site of an old farm, and bricks from the demolished buildings were to construct large, ruin-like structures that give the entrance courtyard an atmosphere of intimacy with a structural organization. The water shapes and organizes the landscape.
Water enhances the surrounding land in the natural aspect, the canals and the interconnecting ponds provoke a symbiosis in the reflection of the sky, the attraction of birds and make possible to channel rainwater all over the site. The maintenance of the meadows creates a work in sequence with nature.
The existing group of Alnus glutinosa was kept to guide the view over the landscape; the walk along the channels offers the possibility to observe this microcosm living on its own.
