On a hillside in Brussel, we created a natural public landscape for a new housing development.
Reshaping the ground made possible to catch all the water run-off and keep it on the site. A series of new connected wetland habitats were planted with native species and already attract a lot of wildlife.
A variety of bushes and trees, most of them native or edible bushes, are spread across the park and create the perfect surrounding for the children that grow up there to explore nature.
The private zones are kept to a minimal, big terraces in varies sizes and sometimes small gardens. The focus is on the public domain.
Within the organically shaped park different meeting places were added to encourage communal activities: an open pergola for relaxation, a lawn for sports and play, and a shared vegetable garden.
